In 1996 Anne earned her first Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the Universite Catholique de Louvain, where she also received her second Master's degree in Specialized Systemic Family Psychotherapy in 2008. Anne has experience in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR), which is a form of therapy aimed at treating trauma and everyday memories that cause low self- esteem and feelings of powerlessness. Not only is she a speaker of three languages: French, English, and Spanish, she has also obtained qualification as a psychology high school teacher.
Anne has extensive experience working in clinical settings. She was a clinical psychologist for adults, children, and families and a family psychotherapist in the Mental Health Center in Sante Mentale Universite Libre de Bruxelles. As a family therapist in Centre Hospitalier Jean TITECA, her responsibilities included: assessing her clients social and familial resources, inviting those persons in with the patient, and have a group discussion on the purpose of the sessions and what ought to be done about the client’s predicament. For a period of time she had her own private practice where she worked as a psychotherapist for individuals, couples, and families using a systemic approach and EMDR therapy.
