Coaching, is techniques used in teaching and training the individual through a development process in which he/she is supported by the Life Coach while achieving specific personal and professional goals. The Life Coach basically offers advice and guidance as the client goes through a learning process. The structures, models and methodologies of coaching are numerous, and may be designed to facilitate thinking , rearrange priorities and personal goals, learn to focus and become self disciplined or learn new behavior for personal growth or professional advancement. . The Life Coach, through a series of questions, encourages the individual to discover answers and new ways of thinking based on their own values, preferences and unique perspective. Coaching is differentiated from therapeutic and counseling disciplines in a sense that the clients are not having to deal with or are suffering from any relevant psychological symptoms. Coaching is aimed at facilitating psychological and emotional growth. Meaning that the purpose of Coaching is to help the individuals move forward in their lives, not to cure symptoms and disease.
